Canada's longest-running fashion week. Twenty years of building careers, breaking conventions, and putting every body on the runway. This is your invitation to participate.
For twenty-one years, Fashion Art Toronto has been the platform Canadian designers use to launch careers, break conventions, and put their work in front of the audiences and press they need. Over 1,000 runway presentations. Hundreds of brands. Built one designer at a time.
What sits behind every show is real investment: full production, a 600+ deep model roster, professional hair and makeup, lighting, sound, backstage coordination, and the photo team that delivers marketing-ready images the day after. We absorb the production cost so designers can stay focused on the work — the stuff that decides whether a show lands.
This season's theme — Toronto, Show Yourself— is a call to take up space. Canadian fashion isn't emerging anymore, it's arriving. Toronto is a rising global fashion capital, and the platform that reflects its designers has to be built the same way: community-first, radically inclusive, and unapologetic about championing the people doing the work.
FAT commands attention across North America's fastest-growing creative market. Every metric below is from our most recent program.
Bold creatives and tastemakers. Age skews 25–34. The audience values creativity, sustainability, and the intersection of art and design — and they show up to discover the next wave first.
Every package below is built to put your work in front of 15,000+ attendees, 250+ credentialed media, and 900 influencers — backed by twenty years of relationships with Canada's fashion industry.

Sell direct to attendees, build your list, hand-deliver the brand experience. Best for direct-to-consumer brands and small-batch labels who want a tactile presence beside the runway.
Your space sits inside the main venue traffic — same audience, same press, same energy. Designers who staff their own table consistently outsell hands-off setups by a wide margin.
Bring inventory, a card reader, and a story. We handle the footprint, signage placement, and program inclusion. If you can't be onsite, FAT can run sales on your behalf for a small percentage.

Exhibition slots are curated by Fashion Art Toronto. Selected artists receive an artist fee, full program inclusion, and photography coverage. We're looking for installation work, multidisciplinary practice, and pieces that change how the room feels.
Apply through our online portal at applications.fashionarttoronto.ca. Include your portfolio, a short statement of work, materials, scale, install needs, and any past exhibition history.
Selected artists are notified directly. Fee, footprint, and final scope are discussed on acceptance — there is no application fee, and exhibition is not pay-to-play.

FAT's Offsite program puts solo presentations in some of Toronto's most iconic cultural spaces — historic flagships, distillery courtyards, museums, hotels, and venues you can't book yourself. It's a different format from a main-venue solo: longer runtime, bigger collection, dedicated guest list, and a venue that becomes part of the show.
Past offsite venues have included the ROM, Bata Shoe Museum, The Bentway, Distillery District, Hudson's Bay flagship, and the Textile Museum of Canada. Specific venues rotate by season — final assignment is made on acceptance.
Offsite shows are a different beast than the main venue — bigger collection, longer runtime, and venue-specific logistics. Here's what to weigh before applying.

Every package — runway, retail, FASHN DISRPTR, model — comes with a short list of expectations and what FAT delivers in return. Switch tabs for the path you're on.
00Building your show
01What's included
Every runway fee covers venue, lighting, sound, professional hair and makeup, backstage coordination, scheduling, social and website promotion, and the full photography package — backstage, close-ups, alternate angles, and complete runway shots.
02Model options
03Music & visuals
All show music and screen visuals are due in advance of show week — exact deadline shared at acceptance. Music must be a single, fully mixed and mastered .wav file in the correct order. Video accepted as .mov / .mp4, 1080 or 4K, 16:9. Total runway music must exceed 1.25 minutes per model. Music or dance performance proposals require approval. FAT does not edit or mix files on your behalf.
04HMUA
FAT provides a professional HMUA team. Submit your look book or creative direction by the HMUA inspiration deadline so the team can prepare. Specialty materials (extensions, specialty lashes, etc.) are designer-supplied and require approval from the HMUA directors.
05Promotional materials
On signing, designers provide a high-resolution bio, brand logo, and promotional images. All images must include accurate credits and social tags for every contributing artist (photographers, models, etc.). Designers assume full legal responsibility for the accuracy of those credits.
06Social media
Post a minimum of three times announcing participation with a direct link to event tickets. Tag @fashionarttoronto and use the official Fashion Art Toronto hashtag for the season.
07Photography rights
FAT will capture images of your collection, your models, and your show. Showing with us gives us the ability to promote your collection across our content.
08Deposit
Deposits are not refundable. There is always the option to defer your acceptance into a season by two seasons maximum.
09Backstage operations
FAT's backstage team supports many designers across each day — they assist, but they do not primary-manage your show. You and your designated representative are responsible for managing the run, getting models into final position, securing your collection, and clearing your space immediately after the show. Items left behind are considered abandoned.
10Insurance & liability
Designers are advised to carry their own property insurance and Commercial General Liability coverage. FAT is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to garments, accessories, or equipment at any point during the festival.
11Code of conduct
Designers and their entire team — assistants, staff, affiliated personnel — agree to conduct themselves professionally before, during, and after the festival. Harassment, bullying, abuse, and disparaging digital communications are grounds for immediate removal from the festival without refund and disqualification from future events.
12Prohibited materials
For the safety of all participants: no weapons or replica weapons, no open flame or pyrotechnics, no hazardous chemicals, no compressed gas cylinders (standard hair/makeup aerosols excepted), no live animals without prior written approval, and no loose powders or liquids that could damage the venue or create slip hazards.

02Add-ons
Additional rack or table is $300 + HST each. Sales support can be provided by FAT for an additional fee — inquire if you can't be onsite.
03Display standards
No additional banners, pop-ups, or large signage permitted on-site. Business cards and small promotional materials are welcome on the table. Tables should not be covered with floor-length linens unless explicitly approved. Racks must remain free of non-product items (no hanging bags or coats).
04Sales & staffing
Vendors must staff their space during all open retail hours and manage all transactions. Bring your own POS (Square, card reader, cash float). FAT does not handle sales or take commission on retail items.
05Load-in / load-out
Adhere to the load-in and load-out schedule provided by FAT. Items not removed by the designated load-out time may be disposed of or subject to a removal fee.
06Liability for inventory
FAT is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged inventory, equipment, or cash. The vendor is solely responsible for safeguarding products and valuables. The event is open to the public — monitor your space accordingly.
07Cancellation
Participation fees are 100% non-refundable. FAT may resell the space immediately upon notice of cancellation. Vendors may defer participation by one season if cancellation is needed.
08Payment
Total fee is $650 + HST, due upon receipt of invoice. Failure to pay 60 days before the festival's first day constitutes refusal of participation.

01Format
Exhibition slots are curated by Fashion Art Toronto. Selected artists receive an artist fee (figure depends on program scope, discussed on acceptance), full inclusion in the official Fashion Week schedule, promotion across FAT social and website, and the full Photography Package.
02Who we're looking for
Visual artists, multidisciplinary practitioners, and fashion-adjacent installation work — pieces that change how the room feels. We program the exhibition to live alongside the runway and pop-up, not separate from them.
03How to apply
Apply through our online portal at applications.fashionarttoronto.ca. Include your portfolio, a short statement of work, materials, scale, and install needs. Selected artists are notified directly — fee, footprint, and final scope are worked out on acceptance.
00As a recipient
01The award
The FASHN DISRPTR Award is FAT's recognition for bold, unconventional, and visionary designers redefining the Canadian fashion landscape. Recipients receive a fully sponsored Solo Show presentation — participation fee waived (valued at $2,950).
02What's included
03What you contribute
Recipients provide two (2) garments from past or present collections, which FAT may use for promotional campaigns, retrospectives, shoots, pulls, and exhibitions. Garments are handed over on show date.
A mandatory final collection reviewtakes place no later than 14 days before the show date — this review formally transitions status from “Award Nominee” to “Award Recipient.”
04Your responsibilities
Model compensation is not included — same three options apply: bring your own (onboarded), FAT roster ($50/model), or agency. All other expectations match the standard Designer Agreement: social media obligations, code of conduct, music submission, hair and makeup direction, and on-set professionalism.
05Cancellation
Cancellation triggers immediate revocation of the FASHN DISRPTR Award. Any deposit paid is 100% non-refundable. FAT reserves the right to recover any pre-production costs incurred specifically for the recipient's show.
00Backstage & show day
01How casting works
FAT does not assign models to shows. Once accepted onto the roster, your profile is shared with all participating designers — they reach out directly to book. Keep texts, calls, emails, and DMs open through casting season.
02Show fee
If a designer selects you from the FAT roster, the flat $50 model fee is paid directly by the designer. Payment must be cleared before the show date— if it isn't, you cannot walk.
03Roster perks
04Bag list
05Onboarding
Every model on the runway must be onboarded to the FAT system. This applies whether you're selected from the FAT roster, brought in by a designer, or hired through an agency. Onboarding ensures your profile, sizes, and consent forms are on file before show day.
Submit your brief through our online portal. Tell us about your work, the format you're interested in, and your timeline — we'll respond within five business days.
